Why are we here…?

The unanswered question for all of mans limited time,

Do you take ice and vodka with your lime?

Why do we frequent a place where we write in rhyme?

I do prefer as well with my vodka just a pinch of thyme…

Someone did notice we are all still here,

Allaying her depression a bit, lessening her fears,

Personally I find that when I am depressed and such,

I do drink a great deal, mostly of a case or so of beer…

I do digress regards the original subject,

I hope you do not object,

While I do rant and rave and generally reflect,

But how else can I express myself with any affect,

Short of screaming aloud and possibly losing your respect…

So why, after all is said and done, are we here?

Have we come here to actually drink all the beer?

Or to walk around and at the hot butts leer,

I hope you will not at me jeer,

Better it would be if you could just a bit, cheer…

Hah! What makes you so sure that you are here? Or maybe it's that none of us are all there?
