Where would you go to watch the world end...?

Poem Artwork

You know me,

I would stand in or near the sea,

Knowing I would be a part of it eventually,

The world could then end & there I could die most happily…

Perhaps you might go to the top of a mountain,

To observe all that you could see,

Sitting at the edge of a natural fountain,

The world could then end with you standing before He…

Maybe your tastes go towards a desert,

Openness with little or no vegetation,

There you could to your god yourself assert,

The world could then end & you could accept Gods invitation…

Or to just sit in your home,

Surrounded by your loved ones, not far to roam,

Wishing to protect each and every one,

The world could then end when Nova does go the sun…

WOW... your recurring last lines are used with really great effect, here, Eddie M. Your rhymes are subtle, never intruding, yet so important to the piece as a whole. Most impressive poetry, EM.

I'm, of course, with you. Let my last gazing be of and IN the sea. Sigh... katy xox

Where would I go to watch the world end? What a great title and question! I've thought about--how I'd like to die, and also with whom or where, but I've never though about your "Where, to watch the world end" one. Hmm, I've got to think about that one. LOL! Very good write, Ed!

So many natural choices it would be hard to pick. Where would my last spot be? Hopefully in my mates arms :-)

Good question...and I am sure you have the answer....by the sea side...and when things get HOT you can cool down...till the end!!

All sound like special places to be when the end is the end. I'd rather be at home or near the sea but, I'll probably be driving in my car or waiting in a long line to fill up my tank. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Fine write Ed!I doubt I'd be here, but if I were I'd put on a harness and ask brother Eagle to grasp me in his talons to soar the thermals, as we become part of the apocalypse!

Excellent ponderance my friend. Well versed (which is unusual for you).

As for me, think I'd like ta' die in my bed when I'm 111 yrs. old with my 23 year old new bride & I passionately embraced. Least I could tell GOD I died tryin'.
