Because we are man, born to destroy,

Each of us this ingrained since little boys,

Only do we fix what is even by us, broke,

Though the air we breath will one day us, choke…

 

We have but one at this time world,

This our place to live out our lives,

Treating it like garbage does make us hurl,

For wars only do we our flags unfurl…

 

Will the future remember us?

As destroyers of our own planet,

Or will they recall we did leave our mark in granite?

We do balk and wonder what is all the fuss,

Perhaps if Nature could talk,

We then could with her our future discuss…
