A quiet little bark,
A high pitched though short scream,
Usually emanating from a room dark,
A puppy so comfortable knows he is supreme…
A slight movement of his paw,
Puts me in of him awe,
I cannot believe he is almost seven,
I fervently hope a long time it will be,
Before God does call him back to heaven…
Does he dream of playing with dad,
Does he dream of splashing in the ocean,
Does he dream of never ever making dad mad,
I hope he does dream of never leaving,
Therein never making me, his dad, in any way sad…

With "due" respect to you and for the love you have for Rufuz!!
Love Tinka
hehehe
Ch'erie
I also hope he dreams of never leaving, so dad will never have to be sad. You surely described a dog's dreams to a tee.
Love it, Ed!
And we really need his creative genius at DPS Comics!
I watch my mutts dream all the time. Sometimes, I can even tell that they're having nightmares, especially my two Katrina survivors - so I wake them up. And I always wonder what they all dream of.
