Poem Artwork

Little does my honey know,

A retreat in the snowy mountains I want to go,

Hiding from the world at large,

Tis’ better for sure than living on a barge…J

No neighbors for miles and miles,

Would keep on me great big smiles,

Only within reach in summer,

A lake would not be a bummer…J

Our own log cabin with inside plumbing,

With the cold outside our butts would be numbing,

Through so many books bought I would be thumbing,

Wouldn’t cost much with privacy forthcoming…J

Okay so it isn’t the state she does want,

But on our land we could of animals hunt,

Think of all the pictures we could take,

Think of sitting on that porch smoking a blunt…J

Impressions of a happy retreat! Take plenty of provisions and maybe "honey" will change her mind! Does Ruf have a say?

ah, the dreams of a jaded urbanite for the north woods
the reality is that we'd be flying you out in a rubber airplane before six months is up should you survive the first year we'll never get you out...you will also learn to kill and eat ...

remember vegetarian is the indian word for lousy hunter

good write

I knew if I moved to the boonies, you'd want to, too. I'm telling Mom!

What a wonderful escape! I would welcome getting away from the insane and busy world the way you've written -- snuggling up with a good book, (or a sexy man) for the winter! LOL
Love,
CJ

This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given day.
