Rufuz was once in a no-kill shelter,
His life there was quite helter skelter,
He did not like men, though woman he adored,
Then along came Rene & I, till then with dogs we were kinda bored…
Walked up to Rene and kissed her on the cheek,
Growled at me, showing his teeth, I tried to act meek,
I lay on the floor, showing him my subservient nature,
Eventually he did understand my desired technique…
Started to play with a ball,
Brought it back without any stall,
Went home that night to think,
Two weeks later back we came to into our family him install…
He was a handful, but very soon learned his place,
So many times I can’t remember that he lost his grace,
Ran away to play with the seagulls, so I sat and waited,
Never ever was he in any way hated,
Now we live together, as if by blood we always were related…

Thanks,

Eventually he did understand my desired technique…
Now that I would have loved to see! And Kudos, Little Brother, for getting him out of that shelter.
PS Has he taught you how to roll over yet?!
Blessings,

When Rufuz became a family member the status-quo was shot to hell, wasn't it? because you love that mutt like crazy and you wish you could be a seagull for a few moments so you can play without you looking silly prancing around.
Dogs do that to you.
Georg
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
Anyone who adopts a pet from a shelter is a hero in my eyes. Anyone who could turn around a dog's chaotic life into one filled with love and compassion is a hero in my eyes. Smile, hero, you've penned a beautiful one here. Well done. With love, anything is possible.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
