Poem Artwork

Gone are the days of old,

Gone are the rays of gold,

Gone as well are the players so bold,

Gone is a cure for the common cold…

Gone are the days when children we could scold,

Gone are the gods we did in the past behold,

Gone is the time we were not controlled,

Gone are the days that our children we extolled…

Gone is the ability to buy Acapulco gold,

Gone at the moment is the time to smoke it rolled,

Gone is the sanity that this writer has of himself told,

Gone is his ability to separate reality from the foretold…
