Poem Artwork

On my lap he does lay his head,

Looking up at me with eyes of loyalty,

His foot he does offer in compassion,

In his own way he treats me like royalty…

He seems to know when I need him most,

Of him I can only truly boast,

Where he did learn to show love so openly,

Is beyond me, as I am not that demonstrative…

He has intelligence beyond his in life station,

He helps me regularly with my frustration,

What more can be said about this my buddy,

Rufuz, my friend, my confidant, my companion, my dog…

LOOK CLOSELY AND DEEPLY INTO RUFUZ' EYES ---

DO YOU NOW SEE HIM?

GOD IS IN THERE! HE IS EVERYWHERE, IF YOU JUST TAKE TIME TO OBSERVE! TK.

...and a permanent member of our den family as well, after sharing so much of him with us it feels like he has become like a mascot or silent muse of all.

Dogs are known as man's best friend and we can tell Ed through your writes that you adore him. Animals have feelings and he has picked that up from you. you taught Rufuz to be gentle and caring, that is why he is there when you need him. Thank you for sharing.

Agape love on four paws of wonderment: and that love is returned, a thousand fold in these lines. Well done, Ed.

Ed,

Your love for your pet is so evident and beautiful. I know you have written humourous things about Rufuz, but this one left a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. Bless and you and Rufuz.

He can also sense it when you don't feel well; or just being sad. Pets are very loyal and are very understanding. I'm so glad Rufuz is keeping his daddy happy.

They know... because they were born with the intrinsic knowledge of unconditional love. The true one!

"I talk to him when I'm lonesome like,
and I'm sure he understands.
When he looks at me so attentively,
and then gently licks my hands;
Then he rubs his nose on my tailored clothes,
but I never say naught thereat,
For the good Lord knows, I can buy more clothes,
but never a friend like that!"

You taught him all he knows and loves with your ability to give back. Hang in there my friend, things will turn around, I promise you. Love, Bonnie
