My pal, my best bud, he’s taught me to love,
He is my dog, but to me he is God…
Tis not I,
Though I sigh,
I tell no lie,
No smarts the reason why…
When I’m upset he rushes to my side,
How he knows is well beyond me I must confide,
If I yell or make a loud noise, love he does to me provide,
Those deep brown & gold eyes give me hope,
With me he is always there to the right direction me guide…
His love I can feel,
No one else can that steal,
A broken heart he knows how to re-seal,
Don’t ask me how he knows what he knows,
He is the philosopher in this family,
And everyday he is here it shows…

But I understand that the great philosopher is Rufuz, no doubts, no discussions about. Socrates...move aside!

Dog is man's best friend
D-O-G, when spelled backwards, is G-O-D
What better tribute?
Amen. Although Rufuz is not God, per se, he was given to you BY God. He knew you needed him. And he, you. Beautiful write of love, unconditional, on both parts. Well done, and that piccy - awwww!
((((HUGS)))) and love, Karla.
