Hey, there is NO insanity category on this site...that sucks...e

Poem Artwork

I’ve taken a sabbatical,

Ed’s brain has too much mania,

I can take a break in Tasmania,

And on my way home stop off in Pennsylvania…

His sleep patterns are all screwy,

Turned around he day sleeps,

His depression is driving me loony,

His medications running low,

His brain turning quite gooey…

Without those meds his sanity may falter,

Its been a long time since last he wore a halter,

But as he does sink deeper into a depressive state,

The closer he does get to desiring a visit to heavens gate…

So, though I won’t be far from him apart,

I need to take some time before he loses a wheel from his cart,

Or maybe his little choo-choo will go round the bend,

Or if you will pardon me, his trolley may derail,

Till he starts to return to the norm,

I will take my leave of him, like a rat leaving a sinking ship,

I just don’t want to be around when he takes his last flip…

Depression! I think so. Get to the Doc. Your Muse? What is that? Call me crazy but I haven't a clue what a muse is. Hugs from Your Canadian friend to the North, Polar bear country. Get well, keep well, come back. J'nia

Just be cautious who "they" are, and where they are taking you, Ed's muse :o) Could it be cabin fever doing you in? Heard Rufuz is needing some l-o-n-g walks...weather permittin', maybe that'll brighten the days and cold winds will clear the mind...huh?...Huh? AND help ya' sleep natchurly :o)

Sounds like your Muse really needs a nice vacation. Send him up to the northwood where my Muse, Bullwinkle Moose, will show him around, take him camping, and tell him eerie ghost stories around a campfire - that should fix him up.

Lil'brother, because an humorous review, they have called me a drunk, crazy, lunatic, loony and a few things more begrudging names not for you to read; and yes, there a insanity category but it is only known by the members of the FBI or Fruity Bored Insane.
And please, let those flip-flops to the Washington crowd!

Ed, I don't like to assume that just because an author writes about something it is their own personal experience or even current if it is real life, however, the playful tone of your poem does little to disguise great depths of depression. If this is real, and if there is any way I could possibly help, please let me know. If it is art..well..well done either way. Be well, Kathy
