...Find Peace, dear reader...

Poem Artwork

You don’t have to necessarily be somewhere,

To experience its relaxation properties,

All you have to do is allow your mind to float,

Even if you are far from being on a boat…

Personally I use the ocean,

It creates within me a sort of motion,

One that relaxes me & keeps me calm,

One that keeps me centered, free from negative emotion…

Just use your own special place,

The sea, a lake, a creek, the woods or mountains,

Anywhere that makes you serene, even city streets,

There is no one location, as long as the self finds space…

To find relaxation through spirituality and nature...whether through Buddism or Christianity, lifts the soul.

Your motion of the ocean is a good notion, Ed! I do enjoy the solemnity of my back yard, broken only by the many birds singing to me, or the clown-squirrels cavorting around. Need to be doing this more often before the heat of summer takes over...
Enjoyed this one of yours, friend...thought provoking.

Lying on the soft sand at water's edge, mostly covered except my face, I feel the earth rotate and hear her breath. I see the heavens above and I am at peace. Yep! Water will do it every time. Nice poem. Thanks for the memories. Peace, J'nia

That special space, you just make me remember what it was, and inspired me to write a few words about it.
It was very special, even when by that time I didn't knew the difference between Zen and Yoga or Buddhism.
The art of relaxation can't teaches to a stretched to the maximum spring just waiting to snap with all its being.

Great advice, Ed, and I am reminded of a time when Darrell and I went panning for gold in a running creek up in the North Georgia mountains...the sounds...so soothing...the isolation lending itself to mental space...a revisit might do well. Thanks for reminding me of many pleasant thoughts. Be well, Kathy

Ah, I was there a couple of days ago, Ed--the Oregon Coast. Something about the wildness of it makes me feel calmer. Love the mountains, too.
Or along the Columbia River. Like this write...

I prefer to think on the Peace of God. =] Although nature's sweet sounds, created for our enjoyment, help too. Especially ocean waves or birdsong.

(((HUGS))) and love, and God bless you, Karla.
