...In Honor of ED KOSTRO...

Poem Artwork

I see them talking,

Though I know not what they say,

Sometimes Rufuz tells me,

So happy he is to be out walking…

He tells me the animals converse,

They speak of a place where a human does never curse,

Treats them kindly, feeds them & doesn’t expect the worse,

Even sometimes they do speak of this guy in rhyming verse…

This person they say, lives in the middle west,

He has many animals living with him, he is the best,

He loves them all, treating them well, no jest,

He takes them into his cave & treats them like they’re blessed…

So if they are injured or cold,

If they are young or old,

If once they had been sold,

Even if they smell of mold,

This human will take them into his fold…

If the animals recognize any human en masse, I'm sure you're correct, it's Brother PeeWee, wild dog of the Northern Woods, poet and humanitarian extraordinaire, and courageous kitty lover.........Jerry

Sweet and warm poem. He'll be putting in a good word for you in the animal kingdom today. Rufuz is so kind to serve as your interpreter.
Sugarplum slept right through this one, but that's ok; she might go looking for a new home with the other Ed if she had heard how nice he is to animals. You know, the grass is always greener. Connie

Hi Ed, what a great way to honor your bro... and it looks like you have the start of learning from him talking to the animals, huh? Can't wait to find out what the name of that kitten will be!

I am truly touched, Brother - despite what Ma and Brother Edvard say, you can be nice when you want to!!

And I just came in from checking on Sweetie, and I think she will be giving birth very soon. And because you're being so nice to me, I think I will name one of her kittens, after you! (The one that smells the moldiest, of course!)

In Fraternal Gratitude,
Brother Pee Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
