Jus' ramblin'...

Poem Artwork

I’ve read it before,

This book of Chautauqua(sp?),

Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance,

Of quantity & quality…

Back then though I kinda blew through it,

Not understanding or even comprehending,

Way back then, living life on the edge,

Now? Feelings from then up I do dredge…

Today I’m feeling down,

Can’t understand it, usually I feel the clown,

I wish for $2500.00 to buy an old car,

But fat chance, though I have yet to wish upon a star…

I cannot make myself feel better,

So to you I write this sort of letter,

Lost in my own mind,

Of myself I endeavor to find…

This written from the heart,

As well as from the soul,

Through life I must pay a toll,

Usually putting the horse before the cart…

Hi Ed Sounds little spooky or you lost your guidance. This is not the time to throw in the towel. Go out in nature and find quiet time, maybe by a babbling brook alone . Then paint a picture in words what you see, please do it in rhythmic verse to make music of your words. God Bless
Thanks Darryl Ehlers

I could be worse. You could owe $2500 on a recalled Toyota that threatens to kill you if you drive it. Patrick

I am driving an old chevy 96 and do wish for a nice shiney yellow updated car. but impossible so I make the best of it too. I do get lonely still especially when cannot get out to bingo at nights and have to stay in this apt all day. My finances don't allow much pleasure no more, have to really watch it, Economy now stinks and the price of food/wow/ stinks too.

Well Ed old buddy I can sympathize and empathize with you on this write. I was going to take a break from the Den and writing but it kept calling me back. As for the car, after my recent bankruptchy I went from driving a new pickup to driving a rusty 99 Grand AM I bought for 800 bucks but it gets me from point a to point b. Good luck Ed but just know you are not alone.

yeah, i attest to the fact that the horse before the cart doesn't work out so well wether or not the horse is literal!

Yeah, some days I do feel down like this, and absolutely nobody can say anything to make me feel up. I know the feelings. We have to eventually pick ourselves up again from the ground, and then be merry once again.

I love when you write from your heart. Take care.
