Poem Artwork

Served his time,

Writing in rhyme,

To some he was slime,

Committing his crime…

Thirty odd years passed,

Still pain from memories felt,

From this past the memory,

Has grown like a welt…

Never again did he cross the line,

Learned his lesson, developed a spine,

Tries does he to let go of the memories,

His problems fortunately for others are not benign…

Memories are like clothes in a closet, the new ones push the old ones to the back for the moths to eat. Self forgiveness is the first step. Throw away the moth balls and make some fine new memories! Patrick

You my friend may join a million others including me, that at one time or another, have fallen prey to sin, yes and sometimes welts reappear and turn ugly, but as Jesus himself said, let those that are without sin throw the first stone. Forgive yourself, and ask those you hurt to forgive you, if they can't, then you are still the better man, and do like your little brother said, you got enough on your plate to deal with. Bless ya!

Some memories should be let go. Perhaps it's time to create some good new memories.
