Is this all that I am…?

Poem Artwork

Have I given enough,

More to the world than I have brought stuff,

Can He who lives in the heavens,

Possibly forgive me for being less than myself…

So many questions regards existence,

Mine and all in general,

Have I used what to me was given,

Would what I am & doing be called livin’…

Is there nothing more,

Of that I am not so sure,

If in reality there isn’t,

Then let me die of an overdose of belly button lint…

Oh great. Another New Jersey toxic pollutant. Jersey Ed's belly button lint. On the other hand maybe we can use it for say, solar panels? Patrick

You will be forgiven of all, all sin noone's perfect, we all do the best we can for others and ourselves. Live life to the fullest each day, you are a unique person, noone else is like you in many ways.
And glad your mother is sending you that belly button lint remover too. She does think you need one of those around the house to use.

Sometimes Ed, I feel that to "do" things that others tell us to do in order to feel we are righteous human beings is not the way to go. If we feel good about ourselves and understand our own inner workings, then we know if we are, or aren't, a "good" person.

Such questions are for all of manking; a universal and timeless theme, Ed. Thank you for provoking thought. Love and peace,
