It wasn’t the dream,

I didn’t awake with a scream,

I wonder what is the reason,

Or is it just the changing of the season…

I feel the fear as if it were most powerful,

What can make me fear right upon opening my eyes,

What does from fear scare me the most,

Is it me or something outside myself,

Did I see something resembling a ghost…

I know my father did experience this as well,

In his later years he did write of this to of others tell,

And here I am writing of the same thoughts and fears,

Of what does scare me I know not,

Perhaps someday it will show itself & I will see it then clear…
