What I really hate are those stupid clam shell plastic containers for various products. They are not just child proof they are human proof. Make them go away and I promise not to hate my fellow man. Patrick

you know Ed I re-wrote my bio to add the answer to this very question. I love that you wrote this. We have to start with the children, ALL of them, it is all connected to them. Then we have to do the simplest thing, reach out a hand, a smile others will pay it forward. Forget about the politics, blind them out. We have to love each other first and when that gets rolling, the politicians will be the ones in foreclosure. Love this!!

I think, if one only glances through history, from the beginning of this present era, that hatred, jealousy, discontent, has been present in every culture and people, and has dictated most of the heinous attrocities mankind has perpetrated against itself. I admire this part of you Ed. richard

Sometimes I have to ponder if prejudice like jealosy is an inbred thing that mankind will never truly get over...it is more like we just switch our predudices from one target to another..but then again who am I to think this way.

I have a bad habit of hating bad behavior. However, some people consider good behavior bad behavior. It depends on your viewpoint. Isolation and lack of knowledge increase hatred. We tend to hate what we fear because we know hate will result in action if our fear becomes too great (like when someone is about to break down our door).

I believe the Internet and all of the reality shows and cameras everywhere revealing lives as they really are will help break down hatred. The one thing I've learned my world travel is it everyone seems to be pretty much the same regardless of race or religion. I much prefer to deal with people on an individual basis and there are some reasons to hate some individuals, like bin Laden who was so filled with hate that he had to be eliminated.

Maybe mankind can, Ed, but history would show that it cannot. There has been hatred since the snake enticed Eve to chow down on that banana. If not then, at least since Cain slew Abel. Those are just early Biblical points of interest. There are many from the secular side of the argument.

We can hope to live without assummed superiority.
