Every time I read of yet another tragic life of some poor homeless dog...I pick up my little rescue and squeeze her til she grunts...she'll be twelve in January and we found her when she was only one year old....our lives have been blessed by her presence!

I love my dog. I have loved all of my dogs. I have been known to interfere when I saw someone mistreating their dog. Bastards!

Souls they have, more so than some people



With all the animals that I've helped rescue, I've never met one that I didn't like - I sadly can't say the same for every person I've met on my life's journey. Yet, especially today, so many animals are being treated like trash.



And to answer Felix's question - many, many pet rescue groups all across the country are desperately looking for more people to 'foster' the pets we rescue since there are now so many of them, and since all of the animal shelters are now overflowing. And every dog or cat that is rescued by a rescue group is first examined by a vet, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, and given its needed vaccinations before it's even sent to an approved Foster Parent Home.



I wish we could find many, many more Foster Volunteers.

And for those that simply cannot foster or adopt, please donate whatever you can to your local pet rescue groups - every dollar counts, and every donation allows them to rescue one more homeless dog or cat, get it to a vet, and give it a much better life.

I have often wondered if there are any organizations out there who might sponsor the cost of dog food and vet fees if people were willing to give these animals a good home but didn't have the money for that. May be a question you could ask of brother Ed.
