Poem Artwork

Riding my bike off the end,

Of the known world, not to offend,

But to bring to that eventual end,

This life that has been a constant descend…

What lies at the bottom of nothingness,

This will at most lead me to be more depressed,

Ending my life into the fog of memory,

If seen below, can be seen a pile of emery…

Tis a shame my bike must go along,

But it is anything if not too wrong,

While dropping whatever the distance,

I will be whistling a direful little song…

Where I come from, we put our bikes away for the winter. My slip on the ice, fall and crack our heads, and die.

Compassion and understanding coming your way by the truckload, Ed! Sometimes it's difficult to see "up"...I pray that somewhere inside you find the strength to climb...know that your Den friends care very deeply about you...our open arms are extended....
