A philosophical pickle,
Or am I being just kind of fickle...

Poem Artwork

Not sleepy nor tired,

On the other hand,

Not up or wired,

Awake for just a bit,

Out here by the computer I sit…

Gotta get these words out,

Or bust or just about,

They get into me at rest,

From then on or at least,

Till I go back to sleep, they are a permanent guest…

So here I sit writing with a passion,

As you might know that writing is my compassion,

My poetry I must deal out in ration,

Or to that effect & in that fashion…J

That is one scarey picture!

Writing is great therapy... ...and sharing it is a gift "out there." Thank you, Ed. Love and peace,

Asleep or awake, keep writin'! If not for your sake, for ours.
Hope you don' bust, but who knows? Story of how ya glued yourself back together'd be grist for the mill, right? Get some great
poems out of it...'at is, if ya survive.

I seem to write better in a twilight state. 2:00 - 3:00 in the morning, my muse nudges me & says, "Let 'r rip. Why not?"

[Said "better," not good.;)]

Fun read, Ed. Thanks!

This is so kool...isn't it odd how you can be lying awake at night and words just won't let you sleep....sometimes I say them over and over in my head in the hope I'll remember them in the morning....but that doesn't always work out....memory isn't what it used to be...giggle

When that "fantastic thought" flashes through my mind I have get it recorded for fear of forgetting it. I have a little digital recorder that is nearly always with me. (I call it my portable brain) At night it's always on my nightstand, so that I don't even have to turn on a light to record my precious "future poems" as they come to me.

Of course, sometimes that's not what is keeping us awake, know what I mean.....??? Nice write, good luck, Dick

I think we've all been there at one time, my friend.
At Least I know I have. Well done; now get some sleep.

I know the feeling about getting the words out. It is a priority number one. Hope you got back to sleep.
