...or am I not; what was the question again...?

Poem Artwork

I don’t freakin’ know,

Does my brain anymore grow,

Only in motions so slow,

Just say no…

Burned are my synapses,

In the middle of my head a crease,

My gears are running with grease,

All I got to do is get me a little piece/ peace…

Till that day I do go out and get deceased,

I remain living of myself a piece,

The voices they do speak to me,

They tell me to remain to myself be free...

Synapses are gaps between the neurons, so I doubt that they can be burned.

You, on the other hand…

"The voices they do speak to me"

Yikes! Watch the movie 'Don't Be Afraid of The Dark' and you'll soon find out who those voices belong to.

It ain't easy growing older is it Ed...listen to the inner id's advice 'remain to myself be free...' as that is good advice,I especially liked the line:
'All I got to do is get me a little piece/ peace…' Best wishes and peace to you and yours
