Never for me will he be dead,

For I have so many pictures of him in my head,

Memories of him getting a “woodie” when his mommy came home,

Memories of all the places we did cruise together & roam…

He was my buddy, my confidant & my soul mate,

He was also my confessor, my listener & my hairy, stinky beast,

But love him I did and forever will,

Never will any other dog replace him, he was the best,

All other dogs on this planet are the least…

I know I will not ever get another like he,

I hope someday at the Rainbow Bridge I will one day him see,

And at that time I hope he does remember me,

The flop eared, twisted tail, snaggle toothed mutt,

Better remember his Daddy…J
