Poem Artwork

Not alike are we,

Except that we both ride,

We speak to each other in dreams,

And when we hang together while fishing in streams…

He is a very smart guy,

Not me, though I can’t suppose why,

Just to know some of his knowledge,

From deep within I’d have to up it dredge…

We speak of the lots of things,

From hot dogs to riding a carousel,

From swimming in the sea to on horseback catching a ring,

From the origin of God, to the demise of man,

From life without hope to making a swing with rope,

From being alive to being dead,

All in the guise of philosophical thought,

I call him Al & he calls me Ed…J

So, you've been hanging out in Princeton? Just two Joysey boys looking for the meaning of life in the universe.

This one is creative and very enjoyable.

Quite a buddy you have there, and you've reminded me of the marvelous old Paul Simon song: "You Can Call Me Al."

If you'll be my bodyguard

I can be your long lost pal

I can call you Betty

And Betty when you call me

You can call me Al

Call me Al

Maybe I'll call you Betty now, too!!
