To the oral surgeon today I go,

Not looking forward to it if you must know,

I will be put to sleep then all of the teeth must go,

Making room for false teeth, my ability to chew will grow…

Long time a’comin’ this procedure,

Putting it off so many times out of fear,

But now that it’s near and right here,

I am ready to out of my mouth my teeth clear…

Up early to have a bite to eat,

Then back to sleep to feel more rested,

Won’t be eating much the next few weeks,

Will be then searching for soft stuff to my hunger satisfy,

How much does the tooth fairy now-a-days give,

Hope it’s a lot, for I will have to have money to live…J
