Why then do we die...?

Poem Artwork

To complete the cycle,

One lives to then run dry,

To know we are, in fact, mortal,

The façade of life only dried mortar…

To pass the buck, as it were,

To the next generation, yes sir,

To finally see the other side,

Then to ask God why…

Where do we go,

All manner of speculation on that point,

All beliefs have their own knowledge,

Suffice to say we do go & leave this plain,

Death does make this all quite plain…

Some people say...we die the moment we are born. It is odd that our bodies were meant to last forever...not even the scientists dispute the ability of the body to regenerate new cells for every part of us. We lost that ability when Adam sinned and lost perfection as the bible tells us. God told Adam...if you eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge between good and bad from that very day you will die and that is exactly what happened...not to mean that he would die on that very day (within 24 hrs) but his body would begin to deteriorate little by little towards death thus dying from the moment we are born due to that imperfection. From that point we can see no man in the bible's history ever lived 1,000 years (one day in Gods eyes) and they died shorter life spans to our defects passed down today. The majority of us would be so lucky to even live 100 yrs. You are correct...so many religions point to many differing views on life and death...but only one can be right. Excellent write to stir ones mind.

Only the frail body dies, my friend. God will answer all our questions one day.

According to the right to lifers, you were here before you were born and you are here after you're dead. Unfortunately, from my miniscule window, all I can see are screaming babies without a clue, and cold dead bodies turning blue. But you go on having hope if you want to. I'd much rather be living life to the fullest and forget about hope after death.

A Big WOW" Ed
A Fantastic profound
piece of work a real Keeper
sometimes I think that we are traveling within a time machine
stopped here on a pit stop on our way to Paradise
where did our time go???
Peace be with you Brother
