If not for one, we would not have the other,

I may be the eternal pessimist,

I hope you can herein catch my gist,

I speak from what little I know,

I don’t read from a pre-written list…

The world always a gray,

At least that is what I do say,

No black on the one end, nor white on the other,

Though I tend towards the darker of the two,

Politics, religion, economics all but part of the world zoo…

I don’t keep track of the world at large,

Let it destroy itself, while I huddle in my land barge,

As long as the sun rises each day,

And sets in the eve,

I try not for it to grieve,

And hope my time is short before from it I do leave…

Must be a lot of us who feel the same way. I wonder why we feel so alone in these thoughts.
