As a lap dog she needs to lose some weight...

Her given name Onyx,
I love her with all my heart,
She shows her love to me with her long red tongue,
All over my face she does of me lick,
Maybe she just feels that I need cleaning,
She is my best pal and oh so smart…

Her coat a beautiful black,
She forever wants me to scratch her back,
Up on my lap she does always climb,
Wants to be loved and hugged all the time…

She hates the snow, doesn’t like her paws to get cold,
She is older but still like a puppy does play,
She carries around one of her buddies most of the day,
She protects her mommy & the home in which they live,
For her mom & me she would gladly her life give…
