Its 4 am and I feel like writing,
My muse is on my back & at my brain biting,
It’s time to write it says, it’s our time as muse-ual,
You’ve slept enough get your ass out of bed,
But little have I tonight slept, more did I read,
Maybe for this little writing to plant a seed…
I wish I could draw or paint,
Instead of feeling just pain,
My mouth from recent sawing does smart,
I don’t want to get stuck on the drug,
Then again I figure what’s the dif,
I’ve broken addictions before,
Of this one I can also off shrug…
To me writing is a good addiction. You are pouring your feelings out and letting the world know....it is sharing your philosophy on various topics and adding humor which you do often!
Your Muse is shining these days, Ed. Writing isn't something we can choose not to do, as you said it too i an addiction. That old saying is so true. When asked why he wrote, the writer said "Because I have to."
