I'm not yet sure...

Poem Artwork

I am by no means rich,
I couldn’t make a living as a digger of a ditch,
For the most part I do not, except to a few, bitch,
I ask the usual questions, why, how & not to forget which…?

I don’t live in the present more so in the past,
The future I worry about & worry on the last,
Asking of me if I am happy, a stupid question,
Is the future in stone anyway cast…?

I write because it seems right,
Better I think than going to the left,
I don’t have what I used to have, the heft,
So if my life is so good, why do I still feel bereft…?

Happiness is elusive. Just when you think you've caught it, it slips by you. Gotta just keep trying.

Life is life; apparently, it is up to us to make it "good." I have a hole in my soul missing someone so much that I cannot say that I am happy - not like when I was with her (well, to be honest, a couple of them whom I will always love and miss). Best wishes to you with love and peace, Ed.

For your age - you're doing alright Ed. You've a girlfriend, a car, a place to live and that should keep you going on with life.Don't worry about the small matters, they get you down anyways.

I've settled all my past problems quite satisfactorily. I don't dwell on it anymore. I might every so often write a po3m about the past, but nothing like I used to.
