A life's philosophical statement...?

...............or not..............

Poem Artwork

Do any of us really know when we are to expire,
When will we be taken ill and fall off life’s wire,
I had thought this would befall me much sooner,
Who knows, maybe in my next life I could be a crooner…

Alive I am now, quite obviously, as here I write,
I write, whine, & complain of my daily malaise,
Bored am I with the use on a sandwich of mayonnaise,
Better to use spicy mustard which sounds to me to be more right…

But again I digress,
As herein I again am just a’ramblin’ man,
Passing through this life at warp speed,
But to me; and you I would bet, we are both tired,
Of life and hearing of my everyday need,
Damn but I wish I had me some killer weed…

Keep on rambling, Man, as your poetic musings and digressions are the stuff of life and of comfort and camaraderie to the rest of us. We are all a mixed bag of experience and lifestyle and we each add to others what's not ours to have at first hand. Weeded or weed-less you rock... and roll! :) xx

Ah yes! As it has been said, "If wishes were horses..." Thank you for sharing your personal philosophy, Ed. Love and peace,

Can't help you with the weed but, know that
those of us who read your poetry never tire
of what you write...your candor and humor we
enjoy more than you can imagine. Each day is
a gift to all of us...

Always,

Deborah

I really like the use of the word mayonnaise and mustard to express your moods. It will make you a poet yet! Now that I've examined your lifespan on a daily basis for eons, I think I'll be able to buy your corpse for ghastly experiments well after the expiration date, because you can't spoil… You're spoiled already! ;-)

A little buzz
Some added spice
A spoonful of buds
Makes life nice.
