Philosophical hogwash...

Just a philosopher’s rhetoric, But in reality just so much shit, Spoken in a rant or a ramble, This from beings that practice the ascetic… The longer one lives, The more they have of lives, This I don’t think is anyone’s lies, We just exist in the now, And in our future we dies… Can we die of a myth, Or is living actually a myth, Are we here, really, in the now, And take our leave in the then, I could think better on this but, Little time I do for the future have, As old man death does approach, And he is carrying his scythe… © -ed- 6/4/15

It's all a myth - None of us knows why we are here ...for what purpose, and asking the question can drive you crazy if you let it.
Best to just 'be' part of the myth and make your mark. :)

I can't help it! I was imagining Inspector Closeau from the Pink Panther telling you that you can't die from a "myth". Great poem!

All living things, including humans, go through a process from birth until death. To think of something living 50,000 years like some trees is quite remarkable. But for us, 125 is the speed limit that few if any ever make.

Like my 101-year-old uncle asked the nurse, "Give me a bucket, nurse… I want to kick it!" We all have our point of no return… Some closer than others.
