I’ve thought long & hard on this, my theory,
And the only way to find out if this is true ,
Is to take the long trip that requires dying,
But to speak of this to others makes me feel leery…

There is no metaphysical place that therein exists,
The end of the lives we live now are karmic paybacks,
For what we’ve gone through, good & bad, since birth,
Religious beliefs notwithstanding the bibles we read,
About same, do this theory for me, tell…
So this life is for us all our hell,
After death maybe we move on to a heaven,
Or maybe we reincarnate & keep moving forward,
It seems more plausible, at least to me, than the concepts,
Of heaven & hell in the physical sense,
Or is this just a bunch of philosophical nonsense…?
No offense here. I recall Sartre claiming that "Hell is other people." All those biblical writings that go back to oral history back to the time when humans first expressed their fear of death in the very dangerous, yet very bountiful and beautiful world they lived in, conjured up alternatives beyond this life very soon to end. All those writings were written by other people. Perhaps one of the most famous was a guy named Dante who really got into what he thought hell was in great detail. Fun stuff.
I think you're very right, wise one. Like Jerry says, you and I create our own hell, right here, right now. When it gets really bad, it kills us. Our punishment is over. It is strange how all of these "other people" describe heaven in normal earthly terms like, "you will have mansions…" What heaven promises, when it happens right here and now, and you actually have many mansions, it doesn't say anything about the cost, mental and physical, of upkeep is.
I think you have been taking the right drugs this time, and copied theories from the ancient book of life I wrote many lifetimes ago.

There is no hell, and there is no heaven. These are only names we've given to them. If you read my article about "My Thoughts On Reality and Fantasy" you will notice that I think we are all souls travelling in the universe for a long time, even before God. We make stop overs on this planet earth, borrowing bodies to inhabit. When ou bodies expire our souls will move on to other planets: perhaps some planets in other galaxies as well.
Eh . . . I'm into the reincarnation myself, but as far as us living in hell, I think we make our own hell, I have no belief in that biblical hell. Don't know why you would think this would upset anyone. Everybody has their own views on life, death, and where we go or not go after death. I think this is a very well thought out piece of poetry. Sure didn't piss me off. Even old George went easy on ya!
