I have to unfortunately of this admit,
But having another dog, even for a visit,
Will never happen, I can only handle them a little bit...
For the weekend I am doggy sitting,
I guess it is for me a test,
This dog is quite frankly driving me nuts,
She is hyper & seems to love to bark,
At her own home she always acts the best,
But here she has been nothing but an unruly guest…
So I am throwing in the towel,
She goes back one day early,
Before she makes me any more surly,
At the neighborhood kids she does too much growl,
We have got to end the visit, before we both, with each other, run afoul…
You better get a goldfish as your next pet; but you still have to clean the bowl once in awhile. And you better forget about visiting me if only One Dog drives you nuts. Here at Beasty Boy Manor we have non-stop 24-hour fun with lots of dogs and cats, who constantly keep me in stitches with their many antics and who jump on and off the bed all night, and often wake me at 4 AM for breakfast or wanting to go outside - but I wouldn't have it any other way.
My sister-in-law put her dog up to the dog kennel for a week when they go on vacation. Her dog normally is very well behave and happy. After two days, my sister-in-law had to cut short their vacation and come home because her dog felt miserable and refused to eat. The Kennel thought it best that she takes her dog back. Those little creatures do have their own emotions and express them well.
ED ... my lady friend Pat now has house guests, her Grand daughter & Great Grandson. They have a cute little 1 year old puppy, Uno. Part Chihuahua he is a Yapper who drives me nuts.
He needs to be Trained ! I have held this puppy in mu lap & petted him til he fell asleep... yet he yaps at me every time I walk in or get near.
This lil Fart is being defensive of Mommy & Teddy... not a bad dog, just
needs training...
Another day... another dog... don't give up so easily...

It's hard for me not to like a dog as I've had them most of my life. I have had only 1 that drove me up a wall. I had him put down when he developed cancer and I couldn't afford the operation which the vet said would run about 5000 dollars
Love it. Dogs have their own ways, not always compatible with ours, as you have rightly pointed. Like humans I suppose. This was an enjoyable read and insightful as well. Thanks. John
