Impatient Inpatient

I was for the past several days an inpatient at a local hospital...

Poem Artwork

I want to go home,

I want to get out,

I don’t like living in this hospital cell,

The only outside access I have is my phone cell…

I thoroughly dislike being told what to do,

It’s like living my life with a keeper in a zoo,

I’ve restrained myself from going on the attack,

Just have to hold out a little more though my patience does lack…

So on the fourth day, the gods did release me from my imprisonment,

I don’t like to seem insolent,

But to be locked up I was innocent,

I liked the hospital, at which I was incarcerated,

But I cannot say I was anything more towards it than ambivalent.

You gave that hospital more leniency than it probably deserved. I love this write, Ed.

Understand the struggle Ed. It hasn't dampened your desire to write though. I'm thinking that's a good thing. HNY. Peace... r

Glad that you are home again, Ed. Be well as you will (my made-up quote). Love and peace,

I'd stay out of hospitals. Not only are they confining and confounding, people die there.

I don't blame you. Hospitals are like a market place. Too much noise, and the nurse comes to disturb you frequently. You can't get any rest.

The only thing worse than hospitals are the gowns. Hope you got things covered.

I agree. Hospitals can feel like a prison with an awful smell. Happy to hear you've been sprung.
