I appreciate any and all comments either way, any number of which can help me in my constant lifetime search...thank you!

I’ve thought about this extensively, though,

I really about either don’t for sure, know,

As my mind did each year of growth, grow,

This thought has kept my thought processes to flow…

I have found, though, that I think we are in life experiencing hell,

Surely to some this thought will not be an easy sell,

I try not to in all honesty on this thought to dwell,

But I have to at times admit, even to myself, does anyone really know,

And live with the thought that all I can say to it is, oh well…

A philosopher I am not,

Nor am I very intelligent,

But sometimes I awake in the middle of the night,

Hoping that from somewhere in the great beyond, I will get to see the light!

You are certainly not alone.
Life was Hell for me as well.
Then one day after a big fight with my wife.
I walked out the door and wanted to change my life.
A bunch of Christian folk got off a bus.
They asked me for directions.
Imagine that! Asking directions from me!
Because you see; I was the one who was lost!
They all were all so friendly.
Their faces glowed like lights.
We talked, they prayed and then I went on my way...
All I could recall was that warm glowing light that night.
I did not know or understand what they possessed.
All I knew is that I wanted to have it right away.
Soon after my fears and doubts became assured knowledge.
I knew, that I knew, this was the road to follow for me.
That decision saved me from a life of Hell and strife
I rest assured it will eventually lead to eternal life.
Why would I ever want to go back to dark troubled times?
Now things have not been always peaches and cream.
But these days are the BEST of times.

I pray you find your way, my friend...

Sure there are folks that say no one knows.
But that's a gamble we all make with life
But even a slim possibility Heaven is real
Is a price too high to pay for this guy.

Amen

Your words remind me of a lady I once worked with. She used to say that this life is really "hell". I don't know what the answer is but I believe we will experience something so far out once this body wears out and the soul goes on!! Cool write!

Love ya!

I feel rather badly that you find your life a living hell. But there wasn't time, in your youth on the seashore, where you seem to have lived a life that most children would envy. And you took your share of life along the way with huge gulps of experience, like Woodstock, and experience I wish I would've had. Perhaps differently than yours, but I still would have experienced a vibes in the music like you did.

None of us can expect to get better physically, as we age. Some of us get wiser, some don't. I wouldn't count on the myth that so many hold onto about something after this life that will be better. Regardless of what befell me I feel good about making the best of what I had and taking it as far as as I could without hurting others in the process,.

There's no truth without proof. Nobody knows what happens when we die, and those that say they do, don't know any more that you or I.
