...cant sleep, but what else is new...

Poem Artwork

 230 in the early,

Usually I’d be quite surly,

But to be honest I slept most of the previous day,

So I can’t complain even to myself…

I’d had some weird dreams this past day,

But then again who doesn’t while asleep,

Some did of me creep,

Some did remind me of my old jeep,

But since then I’ve come up in the world,

Driving a car that it a lot less cheap…

A boring poem to put myself back to sleep,

Though that will work with even counting sheep,

So I’ll just try to maintain my upkeep,

Until sometime that sleep does within me out seep.

It can be difficult to fall asleep, and then sleep can bring unsettling dreams. I find myself going to sleep later and later each night. When I hear the garbage trucks, I know it's time.

Good to hear that you're getting your sleep one way or another. If not at night, then dozing during the daytime. That counting sheep myth requires one to have a dream of sheep jumping over a fence so that you can count them. Sometimes it's really hard to corral a dream and make it behave like jumping over a fence. My dreams run wild without me being able to control them.

My dreams still provide me with great stories, some too vivid to publish, but lately my sleep is hampered by my being and very realistic falling situations beyond my control. And I'm also tied up in constraint I can't do my required turning and body positioning. My environment changes drastically and I can't fix it without help that doesn't come. I get desperate and stay awake for hours, waking up in the morning having to get up still drowsy from staying away all night.

It's scary with no solution. Fortunately I'm able to deal with it without any sleep like two nights ago and then, dozing during the day. And then last night, after one episode where I fell on a table with jars decorative blue and green marble in colored water. So I just fell a sleep while writing this. Ugh! The two decorative colors of water mixed on the floor and ruined the plywood under floor, second floor, seen through the sheet rock on the first floor ceiling.

What a mess!

I really dislike sleepless nights and I thank God they do not happen often. As for dreams, some (many) really do fascinate me. Love and peace to you, Ed.
