Once on a sunlit golden afternoon,
A cold whispering wind,
Came prowling with the moon,
The sun set its golden rays,
And the stars came out,
For their own dark days,
From their great throne above,
The shining stars and glistening Moon,
Softly flew with wings like a dove,
The rooster crowed with gay delight,
When the sun awoke,
And scattered the night.
