Silence in the night whilst innocence slept,
through the slumbering hallways the cunning shroud has swept;
Where once the sound of laughter reverberated on rose colored walls,
a mournful rasp announces the arrival of the palls;
Evil has awakened it prowls the night in lust,
she sleeps without an inkling a face reposed in trust;
A hand will reach to stifle cries,
muffled screams soon fade to sighs;
No one comes and no one hears,
the child will simply disappear;
A promise has been broken, her last breath in pleading spent,
eyes wide in understanding she see his murderous intent;
Dragged in stealth from her shattered dreams,
by a face that somehow familiar seems;
Amidst earth and leaves beneath the trees,
her eyes squeeze shut as he parts her knees;
The silence is deafening as she struggles to stay alive,
what madness enfolds a world where unfettered evil thrives?
Mama where are you? Papa come and save me now!
there is no God or savior just the blood on a virgin’s gown;
No one sees no one hears,
the predator tastes her rusty tears;
Who will weep for the atrocity?
The parents clothed in guilty pomposity;
What last request from an angel doomed?
A wish to return to her cozy room;
A favorite toy, a Mother’s touch, a last sigh a glance to the sky,
A frozen look from a fear filled eye;
No more, no less, a shallow breath,
Oh, the sadness of a too soon death!
poignant read
A very vivid account of what our babies go through. So sad. I write alot on child abuse. I hope someone will LISTEN and stop hurting these little ones. Thank you for being their voice.
Many blessings,
