Life is in the Living

Poem Artwork

life is in the living
as each day comes our way
the day, no more is given
so live it while you may

the sun it shines on all who live
the air is freely given
the breath of life is all around
just stop awhile and listen

the mountains and the valleys
the hills and all the streams
are thousands in the counting
just count them if you may

when day is done and twilight comes
and you step into the haze
you think it all is over
and you see the end of day

the day no more is given
so live it while you may

An admonishment to live life to the fullest. Very enjoyable read. The last line puzzles me. Did you mean something different? "So live [it] while you may." (?)
