There should never be such a thing as a liberal, right or left-leaning judge; in other words, judges cannot/must not entertain ideologically-instituted opinions or let them influence their judgements . One dispenses justice impartially based on the facts and the promulgated law.

Needless to say, there's much more to be said on the subject, but the role of the "writer-poet-commentator" cannot be extended legitimately beyond mere "provocation" or "the drawing of attention" to some thorny topic. I think everybody would agree that if Justice remains abused by anyone, be it the legislator or the judge, or as it so often occurs under dictatorships, Life takes a turn for the worse and Civilization Itself regresses till we are all back to square ONE...and the need for revolutions, wars and needless waste of time and effort rears its head.
