I tried to tell her but denial is best
He has stripes Sam you have spots at best
She thinks he is lovely and so very divine
This silly Sammi crazy Dalmatian of mine
She looks upon him with eyes so sweet
Looking more like a Holstein with pawed feet
She cleans him thoroughly all through the day
Feeding him I hope she gets a clue someday
Yes my dog Sammi is so happy and proud
Why if she could she would shout out loud
Sometime within her twisted crazy dreams
She thinks she had two kittens it seems
Authors note: We saved two kittens from being put to sleep and my silly dog immediately filled with milk and started feeding them. We tried to take them from her and she just freaked out. So needless to say I gave them back to her crying self. Besides they all seem happy and we decided to live and let live.
What a marvelous story, Theresa! And kudos to you for saving those two kittens.
I truly believe that most animals are much more compassionate and loving than we are, and I truly hope that Sammi and 'her kids' have a wonderful time together. She's adorable, as is that kitten.

Kitties always seem to pick their own parents. My kitty has pick me and hubby to be his parents. Even now, at 1-1/2 years old, he still wants to eat off my palm.
They friendship is sooo wonderful!

*purring contentedly* At least Sammi didn't do what most dogs do, and that's killing kittens. Good dog. :) Excellent, tender, AWWWWWWWWW! kind of poem. :) Made me smile (and I needed that, believe me!).
