A mother bird watched
from a vast leafy oak…
as her baby unfurled its wings…
With an abundance of courage,
and a great gust of wind,
the tiny one soared from the nest.
Fly little bird, fly…
Your own mother watched
as luggage was filled,
and a fledgling unfurled her wings.
With an abundance of courage,
and a great gust of wind,
a woman departed the nest.
Fly my precious one, fly…
I love you.
