Love is a burning thing
and it makes a firery ring
bound by wild desire
I fell in to a ring of fire...... Johnny Cash

...................................................................

In the crucible of love are many mixes

shades and tints of varying hues on the palette

all superimposed on the background of life

each having its own certain value to the beholder

a special place in this heart of mine

I wish each and every one a perfect love

remembering the way it used to be

when we languished together in bliss

smouldering magical moments to savor

as you and I took hold of the world

nothing was too daunting when we were together

we had it all within the palms of our hands

as the sun slants in through the windows of time

I feel your burning kiss upon my lips again

and your gentle hand stroking my brow

furrowing my hair lovingly

your eyes reflected in mine

as eternity was captured between us

catalogued and compressed in my mind

I sigh deeply at the sheer thought of you

with misting eyes I reminisce afar

sending ripples of nostalgia through my being

the passage of time has not dimmed my passion

I am all I used to be and even more

so wherever you are my sweetest one

spend this dream one more second with me

and our spirits will soar again forevermore

Dear Peter,

Words like this, packed with so much emotion, are carried as notes of a lovesong to the other half of your soul, where you are reunited.

Love & Light,

It is not always easy to know love, so this poem gives true meaning to the sense of the word, love. This promotes love in the kindest of containers, overflowing and abundant, Peter.

Amazing how love can do that; and this is an amazing ode to love, Peter.

Thank you, Peter. I recently saw "Walk The Line" and I thought Joaquin Phoenix did a commendable job of playing and singing Johnny Cash. As for love, someone recently described it to me this way:

"Love has a different tune: I love you, therefore you are free to do as you wish. My love says you cannot do any wrong in my sight. My love says you cannot hurt me for it would not wish to make you responsible for the way I feel. My love says I am here for you if you want me, or I can be gone if that is what you wish. My love does not depend on your performance to exist - it depends entirely on a choice I make, moment by moment. My love accepts that you may even come to hate me for what I am and it is strong enough not to compromise itself to please you. My love cannot be manipulated. My capacity to love is infinite and is not bound by your feelings or desires."

I also love the way you brought "love" across via your verses here. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and peace,

Regis

Aint love grand? The power and magesty of love can not be compared. No reason to add to: because there aren't any things to, compare it to. It maintains, sustains, remains, causes gains immeasurable, opens pathways to the heart that were not even dreamed of. and is the motivatioin for most of the prime art works thru the centuries and the impetus and fertilizer for the growth and fruition of compassion, empathy, sharing, giving, dreaming, achieving, and fulfillment . Your write is exemplary and the re-look, and re- feel, and re-call was felt by every man and woman, who read and will read, this poem, that, ever, themselves, loved and loves. I am personally elated to see you take the leap into the heartfelt intangible emotional, heart, based feelings , to be mixed and shaken gently to create a balance of the fact filled, pragmatic intectual, that you portray. because your soul is that of a man who's light is so bright that most attribute it to the sunshine, as it is not expected or realized by many. I felt it from the very first comment you had on my writes and have been praying that you allow yourself the pleasure and adventure of dwelling on those parts of you that , in reality are you. Your friend and comrad in love, Art

A bit mesmerized by this richly nuanced, exquisitely imaged, and emotionally delicate write. Moves the reader like love itself. And that's a pretty big thing to do:-)

Incredible beauty, Peter.Such romantic colors.. Wondrous is love? Ha? Yes.. There have been many that have come my way, each leaving a piece of their hearts forver with me...Each leaving footprints on my soul, gifting me with golden friuts of the Holy spirit. There is the old saying it is better to love and lost then to not ever have loved at all.. I was fortunite in experiencing many versions, each still tugs at this heart, for I know I am with them as well..I have told my Holy Spirit if no one else does come, well I'll just be commmited to the love of gracious, caring, compassionate Almighty who loves us so powerful, without any expectations from the Holy Spirit..Time is not ever in my hands....Peter, I have been blessed in many ways!!!Always it's with me..
