Poem Artwork

Cold beauty reflected
in a glint of steel
Huntress stalking quietly
behind her prey
dipping in and out
of shadow
cloaked in the
silence of night
Footsteps echo on
broken pavement
sending a chill to
shiver down his spine
He half turns
glimpse of metallic
gleam catching his eye
No time to scream
Nowhere to run
Jagged edge pierces
into fragile flesh
sending streams of crimson
flowing to the ground
Gathering him into an embrace
she feels his fear
rejoices in the life
ebbing from his eyes
Heart racing as his
final gasping breath blows
through her hair
Vague hint of sorrow
washes over her
This night's hunt is done
but there's always
tomorrow

We need to talk, you freak o' nature....LOL
Very, very moving, these last few pieces of yours. A few more like this and your journey towards the Dark Side will be complete :-) This is what you were meant to write. Keep it up.

I'll go back and edit that "Once in a lifetime fateful meeting."
This is such incredible writing Danielle.

This is frightening. Can feel every emotion that must be felt in a situation like that, giving the 'insight' to the feeling. Perfect! so scarey!
