Over the past two-plus years
we have shared countless "I love You's"
kissed until our lips were numb
smiled until our faces ached
and eaten enough sushi to grow our own gills

We've spent endless hours
making hot passionate love
worked hard and played hard
Had tickle wars and squirt-gun fights
chasing each other through the house
giggling like kids on a sugar-buzz

Over time I've learned that when you
softly say "Eddy?" then pause for a moment
a rhetorical question is forthcoming
which ultimately leads to
an argument about nothing
Realizing the ridiculousness of it all
we've laughed until our stomachs hurt
Although you did indignantly pour
an entire pitcher of ice-cold water on my head
when I had fallen asleep during one such episode

We've spent hours in the kitchen
testing new dishes
enjoying each others meals
(except for the ten-year-old
wax-display pasta you used by mistake ;)

We've spent many days
in airports and on planes
at industry events, premiers,
Vegas shows, romantic dinners
and dancing the night away
in each other’s arms
Quiet times in nature's solitude
from the forest to the mountains
and along the ocean shores
Quiet nights at home just spent
cuddling in the glow of a warm fire
I have even performed
my riverdance routine for you
(in tighty-whities), let you win at
countless games of scrabble ;)
and made you suffer through consecutive
visits to the Enchanted Tiki Room at DisneyLand
(I know it's dumb but I'm an addict :)

Together we've explored the heavens
(with the telescope)
but heaven is just being with you
And I love you more with each passing day
