A romantic's heart is continually stirred, tweaked, warmed, awoken and often yes desire and passion cloud judgement temporarily...but if we did not have these feelings...we would not be romanics!

Too Close To A Flame

By : Fee

Hearts mislead, minds deceive

Communications lonely call

Teardrops concealed

The hidden revealed

Not always how we planned

First a tingle, as we mingle

Little desires flare again

Fan a little spark

In a place so dark

But then burned by a flame

I said this and you said that

Wishes in the morning sun

Fell way too far

Like a falling star

Now I’ll repack the ray oh hope

Moments past, not meant to last

Just craving for a touch

From passion denied

To myself I lied

Perhaps meant to be alone…

Fee,

Romantics do thrive on the highs of love but are cursed to feel the lows just as deeply. A beautiful poem to express the romantic's heart!

the flames of love can either keep us warm or burn us ... all depends how we feed it and how it can take on a life of its own ...

emotionally compelling poem, Felix ...

They say alittle Zinc in your life will soothe the burns...Paste it on and get out there and mingle again...There's plenty of matches in your books and so much fire to strike in your poem...No one is meant to be alone, they choose to be out of mere survival in a afflicted mindset...
Don't look back just glance over your shoulder once in a while to remember where you might have gone awry...:0
You fired me up! And I'm pondering again...
Love and Peace~

Fee, no one should be abandoned on a rocky island with nothing for comapny but the shadows and the thundering and taunting laugh of the waves telling again and again how alone you are.
A very sad poem.

And you get burnt, yeah...It's no blessing being a romantic!
I'd rather be a shallow stinking wretch with no feeling for anyone but myself for a change, sht it would hurt less.

As a romantic you're never alone, Fee. In our poetry we can out-live feelings and desires we are deprived from in life. To not write them out would just suffocate your heart and deafen your soul.

"Words instead the sweet sensation
I gather from a lover’s touch,
yearning more of your creations
passionly your dreams I clutch."

I don;t believe that anyone with a heart this passionate is destined to be alone for long. You, especially. Knowing you as I do, I'm happy that you can write from the perspective of so many others.

Knowing you are a relative and what runs through our veins you are a romantic and that can't be helped. Those moments that pass which doesn't last from the craving touch of pasion denied often to orselves we lie. Loved it though it is a heart touching write.

Love ya face Cuz XOXO, Rose
