Love is like magic, you can feel it even though you can't always see it...

Poem Artwork

THE MAGIC OF TWO

Aye, there’s no mermaids in the bay today

There’s no fire dragon in the old oak tree

There’s nary a wizard about on the castle gate

but there is true love for you and me

Aye there’s no gold at that rainbows end

And Peter Pan won’t marry Wendy today

The Easter Bunny didn’t elope with Bugs

but I know this love will never fade away

Aye Santa doesn’t really live at the North Pole

The wicked witch wasn’t real I know it’s true

No, I don’t believe in all kinds of magic things

but I believe in the magic of me and you!

Some very creative lines in this one Fee and it flows so well. I'm disappointed to know there's no gold at the end of the rainbow though. I'll bet you enjoyed writing this poem as much as I enjoyed reading it.
Hugs,
Marcia

Felix, beautiful poem, certainly must be a magic between two loving souls. I think we all felt that one time or another.

I love this! Certainly makes the reader smile as it is such a magical poem with the soul of a child in both the man and woman described here, and those are the sort of dreamers who can create that same magic. I love mermaids and dragons- they seem to go well together, don't they? And I think it's just right that Peter Pan never married Wendy-- after all, their spirits were to free to be bound my marriage, because they were bound by the soul, a much more beautiful thing. And we all know where Santa lives ;) Loved this :) Michelle
