Just another sad country song...

Poem Artwork

Echos of Empty

by Fee

All the furniture’s gone now

Just my memories to pack

Walk through these bare rooms

Trying not to look back

We both said our goodbyes

Now it’s time to move on

My guitar sits by the door

Like some stringed Dear John

(Chorus)

A scrap of a crayoned picture

An old faded picture of you

My teardrops on wood floor

I can hear them echo it’s true

I pick up my old six string

One last time lock the door

It’s time to move on now

Love don’t live here no more

(Chorus twice)

I hear the echo of voices

Of the good times and bad

They ring through the silence

In a world that’s gone mad

This is wonderful Fee! Such sad lyrics that I'm sure many can relate to ... I can almost hear the tune in my head. Heart-rendering ~ Elizabeth

Fee, You are amazing and the song heartbreaking. I could imagine the strings of that guitar and the voice of the heartbroken guy singing this son. Great song and lyrics......

I was attracted to the beautiful title and discovered your song. I am really not an expert in this field :D and I guess it isn't as easy as it seams to write lyrics for a popular song. Romantic and sad.

These are some great lyrics- you can feel the turbulence that comes with such a life upheaval as this. I can hear you singing and strumming away, lol.

I have bought and sold so many times over the years that I rarely get attached to a house, but I can understand those who do. Well said and I especially like the photo. hugs, J'nia

A wonderful song that I can identify with for different reasons. This did bring back not so good memories.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and who love you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie.

There will be many memories to treasure of your years in that home, but every thing in it's season, time and place...now is the time for a new beginning, new memories. So pick up that ole six string, and git ta strumming some new tunes...
Hope the move goes well, and everyone settles in comfortably asap.

Ofttimes those empty echoes are deafening with their noise. Great lyrics for a true C&W song, Fee. Really, really good...even better than really, really good!
You must add your "copyright" at the end, for protection, sir.
Blessings and Love - Micke

Oh Fee, may your life in your new home bring joy and wonderful memories for all of you to forever weave. Time is now to see what lies ahead and packed that suitcase full of past memories only to add to with the passage of time. God bless...

Be always safe,
