such restrained yet righteous anger expressed here, Felix. There is no doubting the pent-up red-rag feelings that have aroused such a write, but you contain them well within this tightly-crafted form and, in so doing, pack an even greater punch (kick!) than a loose-limbed freeverse perhaps would have. You have even made me get me rolling pin out here...!! No one is fooled and is rather muchly sickened by so-called "repentence". Wonderful vigilante versing. xx

Felix, your words remind me of Joe South's song, "The Games People Play", from circa 1969 -- "singin glory glory alleluia while they try to sock it to you, in the name of the Lord" - "talking 'bout you and me now and the games people play now -- every night and every day now -- as they while away the hours -- in their ivory towers" -- your poem has a powerful message that all should heed -- peace and love my friend -- Jon Michael

Deceiver are only deceiving themselves, you are absolutely correct, in the end they will get their due. I have seen a lot of deceitful people in my day, and trust me, the bigger they are the harder they fall...

You are the compassionate listener; the shoulder to cry upon and the protector. This is a reminder of just what does happen to somee of us who are gullible. This is so realistic, it has to be someone you really know. Your tender heart is at work here, yearning to protect her from the villain deceiver. You don't give details, but if the deceiver is in Christian work or even posing as a Christian, he has a lot to answer for.

It hurts to watch good people suffer, and hear deceivers laugh.
I'm afraid if you kicked his ass she would comfort him and you would look the fool...oh violent man Fe.

There are those who use Christianity as a crutch, these wolves in sheep's clothing. They will have to answer for their actions. But Fee, not all who are Christians are this way. Please believe that. Sadness in these lines today ...
