State of Being
When I think of my state of being
I have to wonder: “Where am I?”
I’m like a boat without a compass
Drifting with the winds and sky
Not quite sure of where I’m going
Just hoping I’ll get there one day
I know where I’ve been in past
Now my mind seems so far away
My heart dreams of a sandy shore
With mermaid kisses on my lips
Soft music and candles burning
Two dancing slowly hips to hips
No deadlines, no search for fame
No rat race blues to worry me
Just living each day to the fullest
A simple life in loving harmony
I know I still have miles to sail
Until I weigh anchor at sunset
Still the adventure’s in the journey
And I will get there yet…
